When the need arises for students to be administered medication during school hours, the following guidelines will be followed.
Medication will only be administered by staff when written permission is provided by parents/guardians. This can be provided by completing and returning the Medication Authority Form.
Parents/guardians are responsible for keeping the school up to date with medical information about their children.
All medication will be provided in the original packaging.
For medications associated with Anaphylaxis and Asthma, authority is provided through the up to date Medical Action Plan from a GP.
